  1. depends but .. how good are you and how did you play.  I would prefer  the CG4's by Clevlaend and also the G5"s by Ping they are good and i used them both GOOD LUCK

  2. If you are just getting back into golf, then I would suggest a game improvement iron with a cavity back.  Callaway makes great game improvement irons.  Their X-20 iron is a great iron......but if you want to save a little dough you might try to pick up the X-18 irons on Ebay.   Make sure and get the regulr irons if you are beginning,....the tour X-20 tour and X-18 tour irons dont have as much forgiveness.

As far as a driver goes...i have seen some good deals on the Taylor Made R7 460cc drivers.  They have a slight draw bias which usually helps the high handicapper or beginning golfer.

If you want to shell out a few more bucks for a driver, the the Nike sumo squared drivers are EXTREMELY forgiving on mishits.  The MOI of last year's version is 5300 and this year's sumo squared driver registers at 5900.  Thos numbers might not mean much to you...but it equates to loads of forgiveness on mishits.  Good luck man....and hit em straight.

  3. I've played off and on but decided to take it a little more seriously this year. I picked up a set of Adams Ovation 3 irons which I like quite a bit and only set me back $200 for 4-LW from d**k's Sporting Goods. I picked up a good used driver and new hybrid for $150 each to round out the set for $500 total (I kept my old putter).
