yup that's right I'm a girl- I'm starting college in a month and I thought I should take advantage of this fresh start, cause if I starting wearing makeup at home or school I would get weird looks I think..

So where do I start? I'd like to remain conservative looking.

and help with brands/methods/types etc would be appreciated- also I have no real price limit

  1. Well, if you start out by wearing a good amount of makeup all of a sudden it will be really obvious. Start out by wearing makeup that looks very natural, so that its not very noticable. If you like it that way then stick with it. If you decide you want to do more then go for it but make the change gradual.

  2. If you have a good skin, then all you need is just a lip gloss, an eye liner and a blush on to give you the extra glow.

  3. just don't start.

    too addicting, once

    you start it's hard to

    stop!

    haha

    just wear it on

    special occasions

  4. all i use is cover girl and maybelline if your in the usa

dont use blush, dont use bright colors

use metallics and light colors like skin tones

    can you answer mine?

  5. o mi gosh ! i started wearing make up at

12 or 13 ! but, it is never too late.

now, it sounds like your not too into taking a lot of time do your face, so here are some quick easy tips, that will brighten up your face :

    * any kind of covergirl mascara, i use the Lashblast { its the orange bottle } not very expensive and it does a great job

    * Carmex  lips, its clear, cheap, you can buy it at any walgreens or wal-mart and it provides a great clear shine that doesn't make it look like you are trying too hard

    * if you don't mind spending 30 seconds putting on foundation, it does a great deal to make your complexion beautifully clear, and makes you look much older, covergirl will work for this too.

    * if you don't wanna take the time to put on foundation, just buy some cheap covergirl { if you can't tell, this is one of my favorite brands ! } powder. if you can't find the right color, go to the cosmetology counter at walgreens, and ask them.

and the most important part of wearing make-up, is taking it off at night, you can get a really nice facial cleansing bar from mary kay, but if you don't want to spend that much money, i would buy Neutrogena facial soap { its the orange liquid in the pump bottle } it was my reccommended by a dermetologist friend of the family.

i hope that these tips are helpful, i take great pride in my makeup, and i love helping others with their's !!! i am also going to cosmetology school, so im pretty good at hair too, so if you have any other questions, please post !

i hope you find what your looking for !!!

  6. no its not 2 late. put on-

    - covergirl tru blend foundation, unless u have a clear and even skin tone

    - blush, unless u have natural rosy cheeks

    - eyeshadow (covergirl, mac, anything like that)

    - covergirl last blast mascara

    - eyeliner (if u want 2). if u do, start with a brown eyeliner

    - try 2 make it look natural

    - good luck!

  7. you should get covergirls lash blast waterproof mascara, and for eyeliner i wouldnt put on black YET. try some lighter colors like green or blue for now. then after you wear it like that for a while then you can do more things like eyeshadow and foundation. my favorite brand of eyeliner is flirt! look of love. you can buy that at a Khols if theres one close to you. you can get the mascara at target or wal-mart.

  8. its never too late

  9. mineral is the answer for light natural coverage. mineral foundation, blush, concealer, & eyeshadows are all natural looking & healthy for your skin. A really good mineral foundation is everyday minerals (the semi-matt formula is the best) which is an online affordable company. The mineral foundation from these guys doesn't have shine to it like many of the drug store ones do since it doesn't have the pearly chemical bismuth in it. https://www.everydayminerals.com/index.p...

Maybe start off with a palete for eyeshadows as the mineral ones r usually very pigmented (since minerals grasp to the skin so well being natural). You can make ur own palate of eyeshadow colors at MAC & other stores to experiment with as a beginer.

As for lips, go natural!!! Sheer lip glosses r awesome! I love the clinque range. The have a moisturizing range which has lots of sheer shades & is good 4 ur lips http://www.clinique.com.au/templates/pro...

Lastly, on mascara just go for a natural one. I don't think u need much liner when ur starting off. Good luck & don't forget to have fun!!!!

  10. Foundation or a tinted moisturizer

    Concealer (if you need it)

Mascara (you don't need something dramatic...I like Maybelline Full N' Soft)

    A neutral eye shadow color

  11. Wow, you probably have great skin from never wearing make up!

    Start out slow.

I would recommend purchasing a good foundation or two. I like Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse (awesome coverage, stays on well) and Covergirl Clean Makeup (good coverage, plus it is healthy for your skin).

Neutral tone eyeliner would be worthwhile (pencil not liquid, choose something that goes with your complexion). This is not a necessity though you could be ok with just foundation and mascara.

For a mascara I recommend Covergirl Lashblast, because it doesn't stand out too much, it is not invisible but it is not all harsh and fake.

That should be your basics. Don't go heavy with the eyeliner, just lightly add on to the lash line. You also couldn't go wrong picking up a basic neutral lip color, something that's basically the same color as your lips and a couple eyeshadows in simple tones in case you want to dress it up (for me, I got a nice light grey and a pretty goldy brown).
