  1. The first thing you should do is stop applying for cards. Too many denials does not look good on your credit report. Open an account at a bank if you already don't have one. Then apply for a secured credit card at your bank. They will issue you one as long as you have some money in your account. Use your new card to make minor purchases but pay off the balance at the end of each month. Within a few months, you will build credit. Here are other things you can do,

  2. Stop applying for anymore credit cards first of all. Too many credit card applications in a short amount of time can hurt your score by quite a bit. Even more so if they are not approved. Wait about a year and then try to apply again. IF you must start building credit now try a secured credit card. These are different than regular credit cards. You make a deposit on the card and that is essentially your credit limit. The deposit is used in the event you can't pay off the credit card. Most often the best kind of secured credit cards are from local banks. They may even put your deposit into an interest paying account. If you keep up good payment habits usually the bank will return the deposit and give you an unsecured card. As far as credit reporting goes it will still look like you are making payments on a regular credit card, reports don't distinguish between secured or unsecured credit cards. Best of luck.

  3. Aply with Capital One, Orchid Bank or HSBS

  4. Try Appling at a retail store instead of a majored credit company. Like JC Penny or Walmart. Wait 'til around Christmas, retailers seem to be more generous with credit. Also at retail they don’t do a full credit check so you can excaudate on your monthly income a little bit.
