I first noticed my baby moving about 2 weeks ago and it was while I was driving in my car with the radio turned up pretty loud. I don't do that often, just when I have to drive on the interstate and it is sunny out and I am able to roll my windows down. Then I didn't feel anything again until yesterday. My husband and I went to the movies to watch an action film and I could feel the baby at the loudest moments. Can my baby hear outside noises yet? And is it normal for me to only be able to feel it when there are loud noises? Anyone else ever experience this before? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

  1. This is quite normal.  As your pregnancy progresses you will feel more and more kicks and movement.  If you haven't already start reading and singing to your baby.  Since they are able to hear things outside of the womb, experts say its a good time to read to them.  They claim this helps them learn your voice and helps them learn faster once they are born.  My son is now 18 months and he is extremely bright.  He has at least a 50-60 word vocabulary and he even sings.  His favorite song to sing is Jesus loves me.  Honestly, I don't know if reading and singing to him while he was in the womb is the reason. But after he was born and now we still read together. I know it can't hurt, so try it.  Also, if your baby turns out to be an active kicker like mine was, you will be able to actually see the imprint of his or her little foot or hand at times.  This usually occurs between 7-9 months. God Bless you and your baby.

  2. Sure...put your hands over your ears real tight. Then listen to the loud parts of the movie and you will get the same sensation that the baby is feeling. Its like being underwater and someone is speaking above the water. The loudest noises will travel the farthest and startle you baby into a kick or sudden movement.

  3. yes it normal, ur baby can hear everything that is going on, the nosie might just wake him or her up

  4. With my first pregnancy, I felt her move at a concert, then nothing for a couple of days. I almost wondered if I was imagining it.  Within a short period of time she was kicking a lot.

  5. Yes the baby can hear whats going on. And pretty soon the movements will get stronger as well as the kicks. They just probably are not distinct enough for you to notice yet..My baby is moving constantly and last night I keep waking up b/c it just kept kicking and moving..but you should be fine

  6. Your baby's movements will get much stronger around 22 weeks or so.  He or she is probably moving more than you can feel right now, but when the baby hears a loud noise, it jolts him/her and the movement is probably stronger.

But yes, your baby can definitely hear things inside and outside the womb.

  7. my lil girl was the same way but now she only moves at night when i am laying down or trying to sleep me and my husband were driveing and he had the radio up realy load and she started moveing but yes it is fine
