Literally, I can put an object down, and literally about 5-10 seconds later, I will completely forget where it is. This usually happens about once every few days. Then I can spend somethig like an hour or even days looking for it. It always happens with my ipod. Names, places, everything seems to go through one ear and out the next. My memory is just plain horrible and makes things so much harder. Why am I like this and how can I get a normal memory back?????

  1. being on the computer doesn't make you lose the ability of your memory.i have the same problem..and mine has gotten worse over the years,so the only thing i can tell u is write stuff down, like simple things...when you go to the grocery store...you seem to forget what the h**l u went in there for...but if you write it down, umm gee your memory decides to work,so write things little down and that should help u keep your brain from "frogging up",i have to and i'm only 30 yrs old!

  2. Mine is horrible as well. I can never remember where i put my car keys. Objects have a magical way of retreating into a physical space that is illogically inaccessible. Do you have trouble with both short and long-term memory? Where you put your ipod....that would be short-term. Maybe you are under stress or things you are doing at the moment seem more important than paying attention to your ipod. Stress has a way of making you not care about paying attention to basic things. As far as the cause, maybe it is poor visual memory (iconic) or organizational skills. If it is really interfering with your life, you could see a neuropsychologist, who would test your memory. Being on the computer shouldn't have any effect on memory.

  3. once every few days, is likely just not paying attention.

however, some folks do have memory problems.

and you can get tested for such.

    computer likely doesn't help.

    hey, take up crossword puzzles.

    they'll make you smarter.

  4. change your diet, for instance eliminate milk products, try eating more healthy , wild salmon and products with omega 3, do some online research, i'm sure you will notice some changes quickly

  5. I'd go to a neurologist if I were you.
