As long as your goals and that of a potential suitor are similar and share the same desires for the relationship....  Age becomes less relevant.  

However, you may find that where you think you are and what you think you want right now may not be really what you need right now.  

Be patient and be open to what is and less distracted by what you think should be.

Thats a perfect age range for you - there is nothing that says you have to date a guy who's your own age...guys are so immature at 21 anyway!

Age preferences when dating, so long as they are legal, are usually not as important as who you date. There are plenty of immature and insecure 28-32 year olds out there, no matter what it says on their license, so going older or younger doesn't eliminate any of the dangers or pitfalls you think.

If you find yourself attracted more to older men, then its probably where you should be directing your attention anyway. But age has more to do with personal preference than any sort of general qualification.

I was 22 when I met my husband who was 33 at the time.  5 years later, a wedding and a baby on the way we're so happy so I'd say yes, go for it!!

you'd have to have you head screwed on real well I find 21 year olds  are likely to be too self involved and 'high maintenance'.I have the same immaturity consideration that you do . ( though I suppose yours could bode well for your potential for attracting guys near to my age -  for context i am just out of your 'range' at 33.)  I consider all but would be surprised if i were to start dating a 21 year old right now with any thought of a serious relationship - I don't really look at lasses your age. so if you do find somone with potential expect to be the one to need to start the ball rolling.

Older men are wonderful. They are still little boys inside until 30 years old then they get serious. Younger guys have no wisdom and they just want to play around. I KNOW because I lived it myself both ways but just look at anybody. He gets married at 21 and hes already cheating at 23 because he didnt know what he really wanted or he changed his mind or he wants more. Older guys know what they want.

I was 15 with a boyfriend 30 and he was very nice and smart and mature and respectfull to me but we broke up because stupid people siad he's too old. So I found a boy who was 17 but he was garbage and he hit me and cheated with other girls
