Its noticable. Is it normal for a 21yr old to get a bad receding hairline?

What are my options with it? So do I try any re growth products or just leave it and cut it short?

Thanks

  1. Just keep it cut short

  2. Gee that's awful. well i am sure u have other brighter things about u so don't worry about this. Just give it a close shave often so it won't be noticeable. Implants cost a lot and could have some wierd things attached to it so...

  3. I, myself, started receding from a young age. It could be hereditary.

Just go with the flow and shave it every so often.

    Bald is beautifull!!!

  4. There are quite a few options. You could go to the doctor to get pills (DHT blockers) or shampoo and stuff. Cutting it short would be the cheaper route. Over your lifetime it will cost you a lot of money to fight it. Once you stop the treatment that is it, your hair will fall out. Balding 20 year olds seems to be becoming more normal.

  5. Your best bet is to just cut it short.

You don't wanna become the guy with the comb over or hair implants....

  6. I feel you man.  I started balding when I was 19.  Luckily, it's been kinda slow, but now it's starting to show a bit more.

my next check is going to rogain lol.  I hear it works well.  i don't mind being bald, i just don't want to be bald this young.

Also, i hear the average hair transplant is about 1000 dollars, which is relatively cheap.  I won't be able to get taht until I'm done with school though...

  7. Chances are it is male pattern baldness. Did your mothers dad have a bald head? That is where it comes from, passed on to you by your mother and she got it from her dad. It does not do that to her but it is there to send on.  You can use the over the counter meds (propecia and...) but if you stop the baldness will return. It works for some but not all.

  8. I started receeding at a similar age.  There are a lot of products out there that swell the hair shafts to give a "fuller look" and products that are supposed to reverse the hair loss.  Lotions like Regaine contain minoxidil and a tablet containing finasteride called propecia is available.  These products all claim to work but only work while you use them, the hair will fall out again.  Cost, lots for life, I just shave to be honest!

  9. Thems the breaks man, I,m 61 and I got "too"much hair. dont larf , but you cant get hair cuts on benifits, medicine and glasses yeah,

  10. I'm 18 and have a bad one, ur fine.

  11. It's all in the gene's, if your self conscience will allow it then let it go, short or long doesn't really matter
