In Alabama you have to be 24 to fill out Financial Aid.

  1. Unless you are married, on active duty in the military, supporting a child (at least 50%), have other dependents whom you are contributing at least 50% of their support to, or your parents are deceased, you need your parents information for the FAFSA if you are under 24.  If you don't fill out a FAFSA, federal and state aid will be denied (and most scholarships).

You may apply for a private loan.  If your credit score is above 650, you may get one.  If you know anyone who will cosign whose credit score is better than yours, your chances of getting accepted for one are much greater.  The higher the credit score (of one of the applicants) the lower your rate.

  2. um... go to community college... and don't file financial aid...

  3. wow you do? I live in CA and we can fill out financial aid at any age, but they have strict requirements so I don't qualify. Maybe go to a community college and then transfer to a 4 year or move to another state

  4. You can fill it out, its just that they need your parents info also.  Your best bet is to go to a community college if your parents make to much money to get aid.  You can get put on a payment plan and pay for your semesters 1/4th of the payment a month.

  5. You can get finanicial aid if you are under 24 in Alabama.  LOL

Go to http://fafsa.ed.gov and do your fafsa application.  You will need to enter your parents information, but that does not mean they are obligated to pay for your school.  Just enter in their info and you will get financial aid (anyone can regardless of parents income) in the form of student loans.
