  1. It sounds more like you might have bruised your tailbone or torn a vaginal muscle.

I sincerely doubt you've cracked your baby's skull, especially at twenty-three weeks, when the fetal skeleton is still soft and malleable.

Call your doctor if you're really worried, but in the meantime, stop bending over to pick things up, and lay on your left side with your feet elevated.

  2. Does the crack happen to occur when the baby moves? When I was pregnant, every time my baby moved I would hear a cracking noise. The doctor told me that there are various noises pregnant bellies make which are of not concern to the health of the fetus. It turned out it was my baby's joints- shoulders, knees etc. I found this out because 2 months later, my little one cracks when being picked up or when he pushes off of things. If the doctor reassures you that its not a sign of something wrong with the baby, I wouldn't worry.

  3. You are now going into your last trimester(24wks and above) and this is how it's gonna be .. unexplained aches and pains, cracking of joints, sudden onsets of heartburns, mood swings and the list goes on. But i must say, cracking in the v****a? Mmmm, maybe it's air getting trapped and suddenly released? the baby is very safe, the head won't get cracked. You're fine and your baby's very fine.
