  1. No, my husband is 32 and he finishes college next month and he received grants and help for all of it.

  2. No, it's not too late!

For one thing, some colleges even give credits for "life experience."   Let's say that you've been a home health aide, and you want to go to college for nursing.  The college might give you a certain number of credits based on the years you've been a health aide.  That's free college money, right off the bat!  Colleges are also anxious to enroll older students who have been out in the work force, because they are more mature, and they really want to be there!

Why not apply to a local college, and ask them what they have for financial aid?  You could get scholarships and student loans that would not have to be paid off until after you graduate.

Good luck, and good for you for thinking about going back to school!

  3. Its never too late...

There is no END to education...

  4. Oh, god, no. I graduated with my bachelor's degree at 33. In fact, sometimes it's easier to get loans when you are older, especially if you have a job.

  5. My dad came to America when he was 30ish, started college at 35 and now has a well paid job with the US Govt.  Started off poor, now is upper-middle class.  Its never too late.

  6. Not at all.  I am 10 years older than you and went back to school.  ITs never too late!

  9. Heck no, it's never too late.

I was over 30 when I went to Jr. College, over 40 when I entered university.

Just because we were busy living our lives doesn't mean we can't afterward receive aid & attend school.

Best wishes, and you GO, girl!

  10. That is correct. It is never too late. Just fill out a FAFSA. Know where you want to go and have your tax forms handy.

    Pretty much that simple.

  11. Its never to late, Im 23 and Im starting school next month.  Go to www.fafsa.ed.gov, which is the application for free Financial Aid, and fill it out.  You need to register/apply at the school first, because the Financial Aid application will ask you about your schools info.  Good luck!

  12. it is never too late!
