As I wrote, I'm 24 years old, and I'm going to be in college for a semester longer then my parents are willing to pay for. What should I do, i don't have much of a savings account, and have counted on my parents to cover most of my expenses, aside from getting a job( which i already doing) how can I pay my bills for school?

  1. Start checking into student loans

  2. student loans to pay off for the rest of your life and oh... a second job...  millions are doing it and living through the same situation every day, just fine.

  3. take out a loan like most everyone else!  Way past time for you to depend on you and not your parents!!!

  4. Student loans

  5. you will qualify as an independent student on the FAFSA, if you were born before 1-1-84.

Or if you are married, veteran, grad student, have dependents...

  6. wow take out a loan... im 20 and have been paying for school the entire time. its doable.

  7. Loans are a definite option!

  8. Work your way through school. Get a job or take loans.

  9. Go and see your school/college councilor. There is bound to be some kind of advisor who can tell you what to do. There is a pretty good chance that there are burseries out there that can help out, extraordinary loans or deferments of payments.

Or, and no one wants to hear this... a second job, your educations worth the cost.

  10. Go for a student loan, most of the time you don't even have to pay them back until after a few months after you graduate.  I'd shop around a few banks near you. Personally, I would try the bank that you already have the account with because sometimes that will give you a little bit of an advantage.  Be very careful of the online applications if you decide to try those.  I did FAFSA, and i think its still possible to submit even though its late.  Good luck!

  11. loans are a good idea if you are serious about studying .

the american families are like that. I dont like the american materialistic life.

  12. sperm bank!

  13. Student Loans are like your only option!

  14. While I agree with the viewers who have given their comments, I feel, you should take yr parents in confidence and impress them that yr further studies will definitely generate dividends  i n due course.  If they are not convinced, the option of getting loans for yr higher studies are always open.

    All the best.
