I've had the summer off because I'm a teacher. I'm 27 weeks pregnant and plan on working up to my due date. Do you have any recommendations for a brand of shoe/particular shoe that will be supportive yet stylish? I really only fit in dresses so I'd like something that would go with that. I'd also like some styles that go with pants, too.

  1. Easy Spirit shoes are nicely supportive, but my favorite are Sketchers.  I only wear Nike sneakers because they're the most comfortable.  Then again I'm a nurse and I'm on my feet for 10-14 hours a day.  8 hours would be like a dream.

  2. Go to a store that sells shoes to nurses. They will have something for you I am sure.

  3. Personally i feel comfortable with shoes that are low and you can slip you feet in fully.

stripes are unbearable for me especially when buckling them up and i have realised that taking them of two is another thing  ... and after their off the bits were the stripes were are kinna sore

Anyway that just me and my feet .lol

  4. I'm also 27 weeks and also a teacher.  I plan to work up to my due date as well and I found Privo - made by Clarks.  You can get them at major department stores and at shoebuy.com and zappos.com.  The web sites are cheaper.  I wear them every day.  We've had three days of school so far and  my feet haven't hurt at all.  They are pricey, but well worth it.  They hold up really well.  I got the ballet style flats at the end of last school year and also wore them throughout the summer. Including on a trip to Europe where I walked around in them all the time.

  5. Anything made by Naturalizer!

    Super comfortable!

They offer dress and casual shoes that are ultra comfortable and supportive.

  6. I love Keen Brand shoes. They would be good with pants.

I used them when I did field work in Africa - I was on my feet all day. But needed stylish shoes when I met with government officials.

The other ones I used were Merrell Shoes. Also good with pants.

Dansko shoes would probably be better with dresses. They are comfy

All of those brands are a little bulkier than other shoes because of the supportiveness of them.
