You haven't mentioned the area you specialized in. Nonetheless, if jobs that suit your specialization are hard to  come by, then try looking for employment in the customer management departments of mobile telecoms firms. Since the mobile telephony is growing briskly and this particular department faces high employee turnover problems, you are sure to find at least a part-time position in one of the operators' call centers.

Well i was in kolkata for 1 year for my job purpose,as actually iam from Chennai,I have seen there lot of call centers are there in salt lake area, specially in SDF Building some are Domistic or International,U can try there for any type of call center job,Trust me they pay good to freshers,Rest if u r not intrested in it, u can go for Real Istate Business like Business Development Executive as Now the Real Istate Business is Booming up there in Kolkata Specially in Garia and near by spaces.Look friend i was there in Kolkata and i know how difficult it is getting a job there mostly a right job,It's better u stick to some Field job for a good begning,Dont worry and always remember one thing,Hard work pays.

U can do home based job also untill u get a regular job. I am doing data conversion home based job thru internet. To get this job, one should be resident of India and proficient in ms word. This work is about conversion of pdf file into ms word doc.
