Reading is one. If you feel like you're really bad and you have the money there are adult learning centres that can help you....

merriam-webster.com also has alot of word games and spelling bees.

Yes I was going to suggest the above answer. Reading something you enjoy is much easier than sitting and practicing spellings.

Reading.  Really, it does make one a good speller.  I can actually know how to spell words by looking at them in my mind.  I can remember having read the word so I will "see" it again on the page in my mind and I will know how to spell it that way.  My mom and my son are both avid readers, also, and they say they can do the same thing.
