  1. yes. if you work it means you aren't disabled after all. duh !

  2. If you are getting disability benefits because your doctor says you cannot work, then yes, by working you will loose your benefits.

IF YOU ARE ABLE TO WORK, then go to work and get off the bandwagon so to speak.

  3. If you can work part time, you shouldn't  be getting disability benefits to begin with!

  4. No I am disabled to, and you need a second income. I work, though I am very slow, and under paid LOL I mail in my pay stubs to SSI . It varies but they determine based on a formula (how much more I took home than they like, so they hold about 20 to fifty dollars a month from my direct deposit. Keep in mind years ago I was fired by the company; because "I was not fast enough for the position" SSI reinstated my full payment after I told them. In my experience Christ takes care of us one way or another, so please do not worry.

    God Bless You

  5. If I am not mistaken, you are allowed to work part - time as long as you don't exceed a certain amount of hours or money.  Go on line and check the SS Disability Web page, or call your local SS Disability office and get the details.  You really do need to be careful and make sure you follow all the rules so you don't compromise your case...

  6. not if its part time but you should lose about half. Why not work under the table? Seriously. Its very easy to do.

  7. Go into your local office and ask about the "Ticket to Work" program, or you can go to www.ssa.gov to find more information. It really depends on why you're disabled.  But yes, in some cases you can work, depending on what it is, and continue to draw. If you do get a PT job, then you would be paying into the system throught the taxes taken out of your check which is a good thing. Do not try working under the table. If you got caught, you would face a great deal of legal trouble.
