I understand that when babys head drops i will feel pressure but its been happening for approx 2 weeks now and gets more regular as the days go by. Will i feel this until he comes or will this go? Could it be my cervix dilating?

  1. From my personal experience it means that the baby is moving lower, getting into position for birth.

  2. Its the baby dropping. It hurts I know, its happening to me the past few week too.

  3. This is normal and is most likely your baby dropping. This reduces the pressure on your lungs but increases pressure on your bladder and pelvis. Best wishes, G

  4. I've been told twice that it is the baby coming down into your pelvis and putting pressure on the pelvic bone.

  5. this is normal...especially if the pain is in your upper stomach right below your b*****s. this will usually keep happening till the baby comes..its just the baby getting intot he final positoning.

  6. I've had that for over 4 weeks now.  My doctor said at my ultra sound 3 weeks ago she was dropping and last week at my appointment he said he could feel her head and I was softening but no dilation.  It gets stronger every day it seems.  I notice it a lot more at night.  Every one told me it meant she was coming, but no luck yet.  She was pushing into my ribs so hard the other night I thought she was trying to push herself out, so now I am thinking maybe she's just stuck?  I'll see at the doctors this week.  Good luck,  he'll be her soon for you.
