  1. My aunt had several children in her early forties and one in her fifties.  Just because some children are born with defects does not mean all will be born with problems.  If your child is born with problems, find help early in the child's life, be patient, and be prepared to give the baby lots of love.

  2. My father was born when his mom was 44. They didnt have any complications. Talk to your doctor he would know best. Everything should be fine.

  3. Congrats :) . I'm 42 and ready to give birth in 10 days to a healthy baby girl - I have a nine yr old as well :)

I have only had one complication with this pregnancy and it had NOTHING to do with my age. I was just over doing it - I was still weight lifting 5 days a week , yard work - you name it I was doing it . At 36 weeks I was put on bed rest but as of last appt last Monday everything is perfect off of bed rest :) . My baby is breech which does happen in 74% in woman who get pregnant in their 40's - so I will have a C-section . Unless she decides to turn at the very last minute lol .

I'm so sorry you had the misfortune with the past 3 yrs - I'm sure everything will be ok as long as you take it easy .

I was 12 weeks before I found out I was pregnant . I had two months of strange" periods"  ( my periods had alway been off )  and really thought I was going through perimenopause - I had all the classic signs . I was not taking prenatals at the time either and was taking fat burners , drinking alcohol and etc. Ofcourse once I found out I was pregnant I did not do any of those things . SO, to ease your mind my baby is very healthy and only had to go to a Specialist once . Plus , my OB Dr. said I'm her " model " patient if that makes you feel even better :).

This pregnancy has been a breeze for me - I'm just at the last leg where like everyone else is tired of being pregnant lol .

Email me if you ever want to chat :) . Good luck to you and congrats :)

  4. Well congratulations, I'm not 43 but I'm 34 and I'm going to have num 6 my youngest is 3. I have a friend who had her 4th at 40, and he is perfect. Don't worry you'll be right and cross the bridge of concern when the time comes other than that its a new little life to love.

  5. I am one of 7. My youngest sister is 7 and my mother had her at 48. Total surprise She is beautiful with perfect health. Eat as best as you can, take care of yourself that's the most you can do.

  6. You'll be ok. I can understand your concerns, you already have 5! Technology today and testing is such that you can do all the tests and find out far more than you ever could.  It has happened now and all you can do is embrace it and go along with what happens and the result will very very most likely be very joyous.  I was 41 when I had my last and all was well.   You'll be ok. All the best.

  7. Well first off congrats to have a 6th now adays your a brave women.  But I wouldnt be worried too much about what could happen if you going to the doctor and looking after yourself now a days a woman can have children into their 60s and not have any problems Look at Jane Semore who was 45 had twins.  And the Chick off of Desperate House wives the red head dont know her name she was 44 and had her first kids twins.  More and more people are having babies into their 40s there is still running the risk of downs sydrome but the cases are more rare because people know about folic acid and prenatal vits.  So if anything take a deep breath enjoy the fact you are having a another new life brought into the world and enjoy being a great mom sounds like to me you know what you are doing.

I may be only 26 and pregnant for the first time but sounds to me like you have everything undercontrol and just need encouragement.

When is your baby due?  mine is coming out tomorrow morning.
