  1. Probably not.  Most people have the same distance between their hands and the ground, regardless of their height and that is why there is such a thing as a "standard" club length. If you have longer or shorter arms for your height, then you might need something other than standard.   There a lot of websites with club fitting features.  Check them out.  And, you can always have your present clubs modified to fit.  It's much cheaper, unless you're looking for an excuse to buy new clubs.

  2. Most likely u don't need them custom fitted, it wouldn't hurt to  go to a course and get ur lie angle checked (usually free).  Another thing is ur shaft stiffness, if u have a higher swing speed (95+ mph) u want a stiff shaft, if it's between 80 and 95 regular flex is fine, if under 80 u might want to try a senior shaft.

  3. Only if your arms are long or short in proportion to the rest of your body.  It doesn't matter how tall a golfer is, only the distance from his knuckles to the ground.  See your local PGA pro for a quick 2 minute check.

  4. Wow spooky I am also 5'11 and have Callaway Hawk-eye irons :D

I find that they are made for about 6'4 people so i need to get mine fitted. Maybe your irons are ok but mine sit too much on the heel so just check yours. If it does, CUSTOM FIT :)

  5. Probably not for your height, unless there are other issues, such as flexibility (do you stand very upright? then you'd need to get the lie adjusted), or an unusual swing plane. However, i'ts possible you may want to get fitted for proper shaft,

  6. Do you hit them well as is? If you hook or slice or mis-hit a lot, and also see sole markings heavily on the heel or sole side, you could improvement their performance by having them adjusted. But no, you don't have to if you are comfortable. You might just be one of those people the fitting charts call "standard".

  7. I would say no.

I'm 5' 11" and i've been fitted and turns out, i'm fit perfect for a normal loft and lie of "off the shelf" clubs.

So, don't waste your money and be happy knowing that your "average" haha

    have fun this season!

  8. you should need standard length but if you hit a constant fade or draw then getting fitted will straiten you up. they say having clubs fitted can save many strokes. so get fitted
