I'm 5'4, board is 5'0?

i weigh 108 lbs, and am 5'4, i found a board on ebay that is 5'0 for $150 and i now want it very badly, but would it be too small? i am an intermediate surfer.

  1. Sounds kinda small.  Better to find the right board than save some bucks and get something you can't work with.  Been there, done that.


  2. I am going to go ahead and assume that you are a teenager or maybe even a little younger.  That being said, it would not be very smart to buy such a small board knowing that you are going to grow pretty significantly within the next few years.  Why not buy something a little bigger that you can still work with now but know you can grow into rather than something you will, maybe, use for a year and then have to trade in and buy another expensive board.

  3. It depends on the size of waves you are riding. For small waves it would be ok, for anything head high or larger it would be to small.

  4. Too small, sorry   (unless it's like 24" wide and 2.5"thick)

    Longer board means a lot more "up time" as a beginner ....
