I'm 6'5", which vehicle that would fit me comfortably gets the best gas mileage?

I’m currently looking to upgrade from a 4 cyl 1995 Ford Ranger that gets a mediocre 19-22 MPG into something that’s just as comfortable but gets at least 30-35 MPG on a regular basis. I’m 6'5" and around 320 pounds so would I even fit in something like a Honda Civic?

I’m strictly looking for another 4 banger, but I’ve heard that Honda Accords and Toyota Camrys only pull in the high 20's highway and I’m looking for a minimum of 30 MPG. I can’t afford a hybrid and I can only drive automatics if that helps.

Well, I can relate to your situation.  I am 6'5 250 and I recently purchased a 2008 Mazda 3i Touring.  This is one step up from the base model so I got power locks and windows nothing too fancy.  I found that I have more leg and head room in this small car than I did in my 2005 F150.  The roof is domed so I have plenty of clearence and the front seats go back pretty far so I have plenty of leg room and I am not constantly hitting my knees on the steering wheel.  Plus the gas mileage is great.  I have been averaging around 33 with my highest being 35 and my lowest being 30.  It all depends how you drive it and in what traffic conditions.  Plus you really can't beat the price of it either.  Brand new you can get them starting around 14,000.  

From big guy to big guy the Mazda 3 is worth checking out.

I am the same size as you... OK, 6'5" and 305, but I fit into a Smart Car Fortwo real well, look at one. Even one well appointed cost about 15K., but there is a waiting list.

Nissan Altima or Maxima..

A mazda SUV... Tribute... has 4 and 6 cyl options...
