I currently drive a beat-up '95 Ford Ranger that gets around 22-23 MPG highway which doesn't really impress me since it's a 4 cylinder. Anyway, I've kind of made up my mind in that I want a Civic when the Ranger dies because of it's amazing reputation, but I'm 6'5" so I was wondering if I would fit comfortably? I prefer sedans over coupes BTW.

  1. My dad is 5'10" and fits comfortably in my mom's Honda.  However, you have a few more inches on him.  Test drive it and see what you think.

Honda's are the greatest!  I have a Civic (but it is a coupe) and it is 10 years old and running great!  It's a great commuter car- comfortable, good gas mileage.

  2. Take a test drive, but I think you'll be uncomfortable. My head hits the ceiling and my right knee is pushed against the hand break.

  3. You would fit, but it would be a little tight. My brother is 6'5 and barley fit into a carolla sedan. It might be a little hard getting in and out. For tall people, I would reccomend the Toyota Camery. It is a really nice, great looking and riding car, and it's "tall friendly." Both of the tallest guys I know drive camerys.

  4. I don't know that you would fit into a Civic sedan. I know you can probably fit into an Accord perfectly, but the Civic might be a stretch. Reason being is im 6' tall and the Civic sedan is not too comfortable for me. I mean i can sit in one and drive it, but i feel a little cramped even with the seat all the way back. However i have a semi-heavy build, so that might be contributing to it, i guess it really depends on your overall size more than just your height. Your best bet would be to visit a Honda dealership and ask to see one, take a seat in one, maybe take it on a test drive, and see if it fits your level of comfort.
