I'm 6 days late for my period, and I keep taking pregnancy tests that keep coming out negative, why?

My husband and I have been trying to conceive for about three months now. I'm 23, and I have a 16 month old daughter. My cycle is always 34-35 days. I'm currently 6 days late, and have taken a million pregnancy tests. I even went to the doctor a week ago, all negative. I feel some symptoms of pregnancy, but that could just be myself really wanting to be pregnant. What are the chances of my being pregnant?

your mind can play BIG tricks on you, my doctor once told me that worrying about wether your pregnant or not will cause late periods and absent periods. Stress is the biggest monster, everything starts in your head. Relax take it easy, close your eyes and imagine your uterus shedding its lining, imagine your bleeding, i did that whenever my period was late and i convinced myself i was pregnant but the tests said no, and when i did just that i would start my period.

My test did not show positive till a week after my late period as i concieved just b4 my period was due.  Good luck. x

go back to the doctor and ask for a blood test, they cant be wrong where as urine tests often can be wrong

Your cycle is longer because you are thinking about it too much. Your mind is a very powerful thing. I realize that it is impossible not to think about this, but there are some things you could do to get your mind off this: yoga, meditation, invite some friends over & play a game together.

If your tests were negative, then you probably aren't pregnant.

You should be charting your temperature. If it drops after day 22 of a normal 28 day cycle, then you can expect to get your period.

You may be teesting too early for your body. Wait a few days and try it again if you haven't gotten you period. If you already have a child, then you know you can get pregnant, so nothing to worry about there. So just give it a FEW DAYS!!  Good Luck!!!

if all the tests and the doc is telling you negative..then i'm sorry but you probably are just late.
