  1. To determine frame size, measure your inseam in CM (with shoes on) and then multiply it by 0.65

    ((34+1) x 2.54) * 0.65 = 57.785

inseam plus one for shoes, times cm/inch, times factor gives just about 58.  Your choice should work.

    I have a 38 inseam and ride a 62.

  2. I am 5'9" with a similar inseam. 54 cm center to center (usual way of measuring frames) could be a good fit. I ride a 55cm touring bike. So I would think a 54 or 56 cm would be a good start. There are so many manufacturers because people have different proportions. That's where a good sales person is invaluable. There's no substitute for a proper fitting at a bike store. I'm not so sure about your measurements. typically road frames are measured center of bottom bracket to center of top tube because this is where the seat tube typically stops. If the top of the seat tube sticks up to 58 cm and is above the top tube, then this is a BIG frame. That would be for a Clydesdale rider.
