  1. It depends on what you are interested in.  If you want to do things like scarves and hats, I would suggest you start with a scarf.  If you want to do things that you can use around the house, start with dishcloths.  Something big like an afghan might be too overwhelming, but it's good practice too.  I started with an afghan and I wish that I hadn't, but you have to live and learn.

    ~Happy Crocheting!~

  2. Do a dish cloth, they are very easy and they work great also. Chain on say 30 and just do a single crochet and make it as beg as you want. That's it very easy.

    Linda

  3. I never finished a scarf because I got bored so easily. I like hats--they're OK for beginners, just pick a simple one! They really are easy once you get the hang of it and pretty fast, too.

    Good luck!

  4. You could try a potholder too - just make 2 squares and single crochet them together for a basic one.  It's good practice to make sure your edges are regular and your squares and actually square.

    Happy Crocheting!

  5. Frendship Bracelets. I was 13 when i started. and i'm 17 now. i made about 100 frendship bracelets a week. because it was the easiest thing to make. then necklaces, then scarves, blankets, Now i'm on hats.

you can also find books at craft stores.

  6. I would say just a scarf its the easiest to make =D

  7. A belt it is so much quicker than a scarf. ("G" Hook) Just chain  a chain about 2 to 3 times your waist, turn the insert hook into the 3rd ch from the hook and double crochet all the way across turn and repeat for 4 more rows. Either tie it or sew on a buckle. For your next project  you can make a pouch to attach to it. Make a ch as wide as you want the pouch plus 2 chains. then single crochet each row until it's as long as you want plus enough to fold over the top.

Both are quick and easy and will give you lots of practice. I would then graduate up to granny squares then your options are limitless!!!
