I'm ALMOST afraid to ask, so here goes... what's the latest on Taco Bell? What is your favorite menu item?

I've just started going there, but of course there are all kinds of gross / wierd things you read. Then again, I read these things about ALL fast food places... Personally, I like the chicken taquitos the best, so far.

My favorite is the Beef Enchirito...but then again there are those gross things you read.... And some of them are probably true...but still I eat there. My favorite soda (and you can only get it at Taco Bell) is Baja Blast Mountain Dew.

I don't pay attention to the new items, unless they look really good. My favorite is #5, the nachos....*drools* Then with the extra taco that comes with the meal, the smash it up with the nachos to have a taco salad...YUM!

The latest on Taco Bell is that it's always busy in my area.  The "featured" item is a Bean and Rice burrito which I found interesting since the price of rice has skyrocketed.  

  My favorite item from Taco Bell is the Double Decker Tacos with lots of mild sauce.

I got the recommendation to try the grilled steak fresco style because it is one of the healthiest things on the menu. I was pretty skeptical because what's Taco Bell without the cheese sauce and the dripping calories? But boy oh boy it was really good. Now, its my favorite thing and its healthy too!

I kinda laughed when I read your question because I usually slam the folks that support all the slaughter chains, But I think of all the fast food joints around these days, Taco Bell may be one of the more acceptible establishments.  I mean the few times I have gone I got the soft chicken tacos and man I'll tell you what, I could eat a hundred of those things, nothing short of delicious,  Just chicken with lettuce and tomato and a little shredded cheese, what could be better for lunch ?   I can actually say that Taco Bell is now the ONLY slaughter chain that I will eat at, but make no mistake about it, Taco Bell  "IS" a slaughter chain, no doubt, and for all I know, after posting this I could get an e-mail saying that there chicken is genetically modified as well, and that's why these chains suck. Their food tastes great, but  unfortunately, because of the food and animals being "genetically modified" , we may not  fully understand the full consequences of eating it until we're lying in a hospital bed with cancer.  ( sorry, I almost held it together)

round here, they just brought back the chicken club chalupa, and that is one tasty little taco. I also crave the chicken enchirito on ocassion.
