  1. Oh don't worry honey! I'm British and I love Americans, I'm always in the states!

You'll fit in fine they won't say anything, there's no reason to be anti-American anyway they just do it to feel clever - which they obviously aren't!

Don't have any worries at all you'll be fine honey :)

Oh yeah, I'm going to Dublin too. July 25th!

    Good Luck ♥

  2. as long as you dont pretend to know about ireland you'll be ok. dont be patronising or think we're anything to do with england, even if you go up north to belfast! also dont be too shocked or scared when u see us all falling about drunk! America helped ireland through the bad times but it doesnt mean we support the governments policies! just get drunk n enjoy the craic n you'll be ok!

  3. I was just in Dublin for a long while, the people are for the most part very friendly! Especially the bus drivers. The pubs are in-and-out bars though, don't expect American-style service :)

    Have a great time!

Check out Howth (short bus ride from Dublin). Beautiful lighthouse and amazing food!

  4. I love americans... there possibly the nicest people ever. I was in NY last year and there all really nice. You may find that some irish people are a bit rude though. Theres nothing to worry about. Enjoy your holiday :)

  5. There will not be too many anti American feelings in Ireland, most people dislike your president, but I doubt that's news to anyone.  The only anti American feelings in Ireland at present is due to your army using one of our airports to transport gear to Iraq etc.  We're a neutral country and we feel our neutrality is not being respected.

Just enjoy yourself, don't talk politics and remember - we're a different race to the English and we differ to the English in  more ways than people realise.  And as for those men on the Internet...the Irish are/were accused of being dumb for years, people accuse you of being what they are themselves.

  6. Oh no, I'm Irish and I love Americans, don't worry about it, I used to work beside a hotel that had alot of American tourists on a regular basis and they all seemed to enjoy themselves here, we expect you to come over here anyway since most of the population in America have Irish roots!
