I'm 19 years old and I would love to live and work in America. I have finished high school, got A-levels and have a years work experience, with 6 months being as a claims handler in an insurance company. Is there anyway I can get a job in America, I would actually take any!

  1. if you're young and hot, all you have to do is find a female owned small business anywhere you want....we're suckers for a british cutie with an accent!  Just lay it on thick when you call lol...

if i had a business I'd hire ya lol

yeah, most of us are that easy

  2. To work in the USA you would need an employment based visa. An H1 or L1... H1 you would need a degree to qualify for, plus a company willing to sponsor you. L1 is for inter company transfer of management level employees, again you would need a degree and at least a year with a company in the UK willing to sponsor you to come to their office in the US. Usually large corporations like banks have blanket visas as they move a lot of employees internationally.  Try the link below... there are websites that say they can put you in contact with employers looking to hire foreign workers, but I don't know how reliable they are... good luck

  3. Hi:  American insurance companies are always looking for new employees...You will not have any problems getting a job.. If you could go to America you would find an insurance job in one week, thats how good the job market in the insurance industry stands..Small towns or large cities, you will have no problem..Being British makes no difference in the insurance market, they are looking for any qualified ( even trainies) for this vast market..Have a good day.

  4. That depends on the country in America where you want to go

I imagine it would be better for you Canada or the USA, the Anglo Saxon America

  5. Apply to Burger King, and General Electric.

  6. I bet if you weren't british loads of people here would tell you to stay in the UK rather than come to america.

    *sigh*.....

  7. You have to send in Resumes to companys and hopefully if they want you will get you a h1b visa
