I'm Confused.. Which Are Gel And Which Are Acrylic?

Okay so i've been wondering are gel nails the ones that are powder and you add water and with the brush you sculpt them onto your actual nail? I've been having these nails for the longest time and don't know if they are gel or acrylic? i just call them fake nails lmao.
