Okay, so I'm going to Seventh Grade soon, the second year I have in middle school. I need some tips on the following stuff.

- Okay, so, for the first day should I wear my hair in a high ponytail or down and pin my bangs up. I have gold/blonde hair w/ side bangs and it goes just past my shoulders, if that helps at all.

- What kind of backpack should I get that WILL fit in a locker?

- My style is now an actual label. Preppy, or whatever we call it now. So, I was wondering what stores I could shop at that are actually CHEAP.

- How can I make SURE I keep organized? I've tried a lot of methods before. And.. failed.

- Can you make me an outfit for the first day? XD Haha, sounds wierd but I'm serious. And could you please give me the link to the clothing you used?

Thanks. (: Best answer = ten points.

  1. At my school (last year I was in seventh grade) seventh grade is supposedly the hardest. So you'll want to stay organized. I don't know about your school, but for me it wasn't too important for your backpack to fit IN your locker, just underneath it. But just a reasonable sized backpack. If you want, it might help to get a shelf or different magnetic things for your locker, a mirror, a whiteboard for notes, ect. It's not so important to be organized the first day -- as you realize you need stuff, drive down to Longs or Rite Aid.

The first few days, all the teachers will be taking pictures -- so this is your chance to make a long impression. It's not just, "Hey, you look good!" it's, "Oh, that picture will be on the wall for 9 months, too bad you stained your shirt!" It doesn't really matter what clothes you wear, as long as you look good. Keep your hair down, but if it gets hot, have a hairband on the ready. I think just jeans would be good, so it's not too formal or anything, but a nice top would be cute. Or a dress and leggings, something casual.

There's this place -- a thrift shop -- called Plato's Closet. I don't know if there's any near where you live, but just check it out. They've got brand stuff -- Abercrombie, Hollister -- for really cheap, cause people outgrow their stuff and sell it to them. They've got jeans for like 10 dollars.

Good luck! Remember, it's okay to  get more stuff as the year progresses to stay organized.

  2. i'm going into 8th grade so,

Most people love class clowns anways, you could be funny, DON'T look nerdy, and in your first classes talk and ask questions with the teacher to show that you are interested and He/She'll like that your interested. And just be yourself and try act like you are cool if you don't want to be yourself. (Go with be yourself)

wear it up :) it will show off your pretty face

lucky im going to grade 7 we dont have lockers,.... but id probaly buy a tote bag if i were you one that closes too though other wise everything will fall out (i learned that the hard way =.=)

OMG so many people worry about this! YOU DONT HAVE TO SHOP AT PLACES LIKE HOLLISTER. You can find cute stuff at any store even JCpennys and they always have cute stuff on sale!

ehh not very good at it myself, but whut helped me somewhute was just cleaning out my stuff once in a while making sure i had everything i needed.

hmm... you should wear a polo or a t-shirt with some jeans and flats :) or converse which ever you prefer

  4. I am going into 8th grade this year so I know all about seventh grade.

-I would wear your hair however it is most comfortable. For me, wearing it down is comfier so thats what I do. You could also start off with it one way and then during the day change it the other way.

-Really any backpack fits into lockers. Try to get one that is sturdy and wont break with all your binders and books. Also one that is a color you will like for the whole year. I like Jansport backpacks because they are strong and have lots of space.

-I would go to Charlotte Russe or Forever 21 because their clothes are pretty cheap but are very stylish.

-I am defenitly not the most organized person but what I do is have a binder for all the major classes. The other ones you may wont just a small folder or possibly nothing. Get enough pencils and pens and other supplies in each binder or in a pencil case you can carry with your binders. It also helped me to make a calender of test, homeworks due, and any other school or non-school related activities.

-The perfect outfit would be something you like and are comfortable wearing. Chose your favorite color and base it around that. If it is hot, wear shorts or a skirt and a nice shirt and if it is cold wear jeans and a nice shirt.

Have a great first day and good luck. You'll do great. :)

  5. Just be yourself. No need to follow others.

Be the leader of the pack and not the follower.

  6. OK, definetly wear your hair down cuz only completely sporty people wear it in a ponytail on the first day.And if it's not naturally straight then straighten it unless you have totally curly hair then leave it curly because it can  come out really bad. I wouls get a jansport in a cool color like aqua or bright green or bright purple that really stand out, unless you have ridiculously tiny lockers I'm sure it'll fit. I don't know if you've heard of this place called Susie's Deals where everything is $5.99 or cheaper, but they actually have nice stuff (you can search for it on google) to keep organized I would get dividers with the built in pockets. as for an outfit a pair of dark jeans and a bright colored shirt with some bright colored vans would be nice. Hope you have a good school year.

  7. take a look at the sunday department store ads or the outfits on the mannequins-copy a look that you like. can't go wrong with a uniform look, skirt, blouse, vest (think "The Facts Of Life"

i'd go for the high ponytail-hair hanging straight and loose really isn't attractive in my humble opinion.

try JCPenney and the Worthington label.

depending on the design of the locker, mine was about 5 ft long and 8 inches wide and 10 inches deep, plus a shelf above it. play it safe with a medium size bag. they're usually canvas, so they're flexible. just stuff it in there.

good luck with the organization, that's all on you. run a mental checklist before you go to bed, put the things you'll need in the backpack.

relax, you'll be allright. maybe shop with a g/f?

  8. get a jansport a nice book bag and  your books will not feel heavy in it and it fits in a locker and to keep organize get a planner that's what i do and there u can write your schedule and homework good luck
