  1. Well what I do is I go out in the middle of the lake or whatever and jump in and then I have someone give me the skies. Then I like sit in the water like I'm on a chair and put them on. Then someone puts the rope into the water and then drives forward so I can grab the rope. When you get the rope make sure you put the rope between your skies and the tips of the skies are pointed up. When the boat starts to go make sure you don't lean forward otherwise you do a face plant into the water and keep your legs bent and together or you may do the splits. Make sure you you don't Lean forward  for another reason because it really hurts you back. Only lean forward when you getting pulled out of the water and then lean back as soon as you are up but not to far. And if you  you fall let go of the rope so  you don't get pulled that hurts. And if you want to stop just let go of the rope. You will keep going but not to far you will go like two feet and then just go into the water.

    Have FUN!!

  2. Most of the replys on here are good but this is how I fisrt learned at age 7 and it works everytime. Swim out about a hundred feet from shore with your skis (not on yet). Put your skis on cause you'll have to learn eventually.  Have someone toss you the rope from shore. You need at least a couple people, and have them run with the rope and pull you up. This gives you a feel for it without the intimidating factor of a boat. Once you feel comfortable go have fun. Like I said, it was easy for me and seems to work on all my friends that are new at skiing. You should try a wakeboard you probably wont ski again.Wake and Destroy. Good luck bro.

  3. Know how to swallow water, and that no matter what anyone tells you, it's like when you learned to ride a bike. You just figured out and nothing anyone said helped, it was just something that eventually happened. Your body will figure it out after a few spills. If you have a very hard time on two skis, you may, oddly enough, want to try one, instead. That worked for me....

  4. Crouch up with your knees bent and the skis pointed at a slight angle, put the rope handle in front of your knees. When the boat takes off lean back a little and keep your arms straight. When you want to stop just let go of the rope and you will keep going for a little while, but you will gradually go into the water. Also keep your skis straight and keep your legs from spreading apart. It takes a lot of practice to get it right, but once you figure out how to get up, its a lot easier. Its really fun ;).

  5. well first practise on land by getting someone to put a small rope handle with you holding it. this will allow you to get the feel of getting up. if you are at a waterski school well they shuld have a bar a bar that is on the side of the boat but if not well go behind the boat and do this.

keep your knees up to your chest and your skis together the boat will start then you should stand up slowly resisting the pull of the boat. then once you get up keep your skis together and ski. when the boat turns round you wll get the wash when you come to this flex yourknees when you are going over them. if you get better then you should start crossing the wakes like the wash just flex your knees. trust me it is sooo fun

  6. Bend your knees, keep your arms straight, and lean back... you'll figure it out

  7. keep your knees bent slightly and in front of you.  you also need  strong back to keep this position.  Its fun you'll have a ball once you get the hang of it.

  8. lets go skiing!!

first thing to know is safety, always wear a certified life vest.

when in water ,hope you have someone to help you put ski's on, if not dry fit them in the boat first.when you get a hold of the rope put your knees between your arms, in other words pull knees to your chest. with your arms fully extended tips of the ski's out of the water nod your head when you are ready.the boat will pull you out of the water, all you have to remember is keep your arms out and lean back untill it fills comfortable. the rest is up to you! oh, if you happen to fall let go of the rope,it could harm you with snapback.  have fun and good luck.

  9. You're going to have the urge to pull the ropes, keep your arms straight, as if you can't even bend at the elbow... that will help you.  As soon as you bend your arm.. you'll wipe out.  Oh and having strong legs won't hurt, but it's not necessary to learn how to ski.
