I'm Getting wrote up and a 2 day suspension?

So I kinda messed up and broke a computer screen at work.. Now it was an accident but it was my fault, and they said today I have to go into work to sign my write up and serve a two day suspension. My question is can they go ahead and fire me for this and if so can I apply for unemployment?

How did you "accidentally" break a computer screen?  If you threw a temper tantrum and broke equipment then they most certainly can fire you on the spot.  

If they have already told you it will only be a 2-day suspension, then I'd say you're probably safe for now.
