I have no idea what to include in my travel journal? If you have any suggestions as to what I should write about please post.

  1. Try to write in your journal daily, so you won't forget what you did - the days start to blend together after a while. Include places that you went, funny stories (or scary ones!), inside jokes that you came up with, what you saw that day, your favorite part of the day, and any special things that you might've eaten (for instance, I wrote about trying haggis for the first time in my travel journal from Scotland).

Just re-tell your whole day as if you were telling it to someone who's not on the trip with you - that way, you'll be able to read it someday and remember all the cool stuff you did.

Oh, and another tip - go through all your pictures as soon as you can and write down what the picture is of and where it was taken, especially if you visit a lot of different places. It'll help you remember when you go back through them.

I hope this helps. Have a great trip!

  2. Your impressions and reactions to the events of the day, as well as a record of what you did and where you went.  These are more important, actually, and you will enjoy looking back and remembering.

Write down experiences, newspaper headlines, what you had at a particular meal,  things that you found fascinating!
