i'm going for the cheaper option where the surgon manualy cuts the flap first rather than ALL laser.

but yeah just wanting to hear experiences from people whos had it done,

. was it painful?

. what was the recovery like etc

for all the rest who come on and say 'ohhh you can go blind' noones has ever gone blind with it, but of course there is some horror storys like with all surgerys.

  1. I had my lasik done about a year and a half ago!  Love, Love, Love it!  I did have the all laser option, but recovery time was not an issue.  I worked for a 4-5 hours the day after my surgery, and I'm on a computer constantly.  Of course my husband had to drive me for the first 24 hours, but after that you're good to go.  Pain was not an issue at all.  It is a little uncomfortable because of the pressure, from where the machine holds your eye open, but not painful!  You'll be fine!  Congratulations and Good Luck!

  2. I watched my friend go through the same procedure and she was fine, her eye sight improved 100% and she sees long distance where she didn't before, but her close vision has deteriorated a bit and she has to wear reading glasses now. Good luck , i'm sure you'll be fine.

  3. no pain at all. it takes me 1 week to have clear vision. I am having 6/6 vision now. who say blindness will occur

  4. I had LASIK about a month ago.  It was really over very fast.  They gave us dark sunglasses to wear for 24 hours and a million eyedrops and a eye drop schedule. About an hour after the surgery, the eyedrops they gave me that numbed them up started to wear off and my eyes hurt then for about 4 hours pretty bad, really sensitive to light, had to put a blanket over my head to feel better.  After 4 hours, all the pain went away pretty much instantly and I felt fine.

I could see pretty good the next morning already but I had problems with my vision going blurry off and on for the next couple of weeks.  I went back to work on a computer on the 4th day after surgery and I had problems focusing on the monitor off and on.  It's because the eyes will be dry and swollen so you have to use the eye drops and you will not know exacly how good your vision will be right away but it does stabilize.  Mine is good now.

    Good luck
