I'm Having Trouble Figuring Out How To Upload A Video From SD Memory Card To Computer?

I used my phone to record video on my SD memory card and it turned out great! But the problem is that I can't seem to figure out how to put it on my computer. It says the video is in the wrong format, so I can't even look at it on Windows Vista. I really want to get this video on here because even though it's taking up a lot of memory, it's a video of my mom and dad's 30 anniversery. It has a lot of good moments and I would hate to erase it. Someone Help!!!

  1. Since you're getting an error message I'm assuming you've already got the video files on your PC.  You can convert them to WMV with Super or, if you just want to view them, try the Videolan VLC media player.

  2. Flash Media- SD: remove SD card & insert into card reader; on winExplorer, it appears as a removable Drive; click on to see video files;Copy/paste these files (3gp? 3g2? mp4?) to your videos folder, then convert these to .avi or .wmv, .mpg or any format that your video editing application supports.

    And since these are important memories, how about enhancing the video compilation?

    for starters, free Windows Movie Maker* (XP-wmm2 & Vista-wmm6) provides simple & easy way to learn the ropes < click help for details>. Upgrade to intermediate video editing app accdg. to need & skill level

    video editing process - Vista

          >>> open wmm- start/all programs/wmm6

    1. Import converted video files (easier if wmv)

    2. Edit- drag/drop files->timeline & enhance w/effects, transition, music & titles

    3. Publish- burn to DvD, thru windows DvD authoring app
