I got an Ipod, My husband had already had one. I created an itunes account and started adding music (TONS of music) and our library of music was combined. We have completley different taste in music and he was mad because now when he wants to download his music, he has to sort through all of my music to find his and then sync. I have more music than he did.

He didn't want to create a new account on Windows so we google'd how to do it and it said we could do this:

Method Three

Create a separate iTunes library for each iPod Note: It is important that you make a new iTunes Library file. Do not just make a copy of your existing iTunes Library file. If iTunes is open, quit it.

Windows users: Hold down the Shift key while you open iTunes.

I did this trying to do a new playlist and ALL of our music is gone. I had HUNDREDS of songs. Is there any way I can get it back?

All I wanted to do was seperate our librarys. Itunes is stupid. My husband will be so upset when he sees what I did.

  1. for your sake, I hope you have your music on an ipod. If you do, and all the songs are on there, you can get the songs back. Go to sharepod.com and just download and then follow the directions it gives you. I dont think theres another way...i'd google it. I recently lost all my songs too but the ones i had on my ipod i got back using sharepod. Hope this helped, good luck!

  2. you could use tune ranger to copy everything that is already on your ipod back to itunes.

  3. Well sorry but no. it was lost into cyber space. yikes i would be reallly mad if this happened. this same thing happened to my friend. so then he bought a zune wich made his life better and easier. another way is by downloading Limewire to your computer and download songs for free.
