  1. Well done to the Boks - the English 'try' wasnt a try as his foot clearly touched the line before the ball was grounded!!!!

Your guys even turned our pack a few times as well as winning nearly all the lineouts.  I am English by the way!

Can we have your coach now please?

The best all round team won.

  2. it was an excellent match with a well deserved win by  springboks.

  3. well i,m welsh and i say the best team won it !! a great final and a big thankyou for beating the english !! but with wales getting gatland as coach keep that trophy well polished for wales next time !!!

  4. they were angry at first

then we all forget about it the next day

  5. As a rugby fan who is neither English or South African I can have a completely unbiased opinion.  The 2008 RWC final was the most boring game of rugby I have ever witnessed.  It hasn't proved who the best side in international rugby is, all it has done is shown us who is good at kicking goals.

  6. to be honest with you know body really cared until we competed about the french, to get one over on them " for old time sake" (as we petite English have this extreme prejudice to the french(actual most people but u no)) and it was just something that we could actual do.

  7. Apart from the video referee robbing us from a try, I believe that South Africa deserved to win. I was astounded that we got to the final anyway, but the better team won on the day.

  8. That probably at the end of the day you deserved the victory. I was sorely disappointed that we lost, but one has to move on.

  9. We did ourselves credit in the end.  I believe that we scored a try, but it wasn't given, so there's no use crying about it.  South Africa are a great team.  Now is the time to expand the Tri Nations and let in Argentina, Fiji and Japan, although it looks as if europe will beat you to it and have a Seven Nations Tournament.

I'm now looking forward to the South African Football World Cup in 2010.  let's hope it's a good one.

  10. I have been a rugby player, referee and now an enthusiastic follower of the game or real sportsman(apart from the odd moment of red mist) and in general the English fans are very sporting and agree the best team won.

  11. You were great the english buts realy needed to be kicked and you did it with grace and elegence

  12. ENGLAND WERE NOT GOOD ENOUGH SIMPLE AS!! WOT A BORIN FINAL I FELL ASLEEP I PREFER RUGBY LEAGUE MUCH MORE EXCITING AND IT KEEPS YOU AWAKE.

  13. i loved the fact that sa won against england. i live in england but i dont actually support them. i went out that night to watch it and i was the only sa supporter but as soon as the game was over nearly every english supporters has forgotten about the rwc.

  14. Nice to see Some of the English STILL!!!!! haven't accepted it WASN'T a Try !!!!

Welshman looking forward to seeing the World champs at the Millenium next weekend !!

  15. England did very well to beat the Aussies and then the French. Many people didn't expect England to beat the Aussies let alone get to the final. We were disappointed to lose but South Africa were the best team in the tournement and throughly deserved to win. People keep talking about the video ref decision but even if the try had been given. I still think South Africa would have one. They always seemed in control of the game.

  16. What rugby world cup?

  17. That the 3rd referee cheated us out of a try

  18. We were beaten by a better side in the final. I reckon if the video ref had been anything other than Australian the Mark Cueto try would have been given. But it wasnt so never mind. At least we beat the French and ****** slapped the Aussies

  19. Well Done South Africa....

England has more money to throw around and pays alot of money to have the referees it wants...

I seriously think as a Rugby body they have some serious "control issues"......

Sportsmanship for them dont even enter into it....

Shall we take a vote on it...ooops...I havent been given permission too....( from England)

  20. Well, they were in the cubs but now may join the scouts!!!!!!!

    Soz. Could not resist!

  21. My english friends are saying nothing so I will have to say something.....hola ma bhokobhoko! Well done the Springboks..

  22. It would of been a different story had the try been given.

    Edit:

Dear supporter of the humiliated Australian rugby team

Nice to read your 'unbiased' answer.

  23. all forgotten, the english never remember wen they lose, so they aint got much history.

  24. I'm English and I'm surprised they even got to the final.

To lose to the Springboks in the final after knocking out the Aussies and the French (on home soil) - was good enough!

  25. Probably crying about the try that never was, a foot out of touch means no try, but a line out to south africa, they probably also make excuses like losing robinson vickery and wilkinson (who played) with a busted ankle

  26. Here's what I said...
