I'm Taking METRONIDAZOLE 250,Is that Safe To Take While I'm Only 5weeks Pregnant?

I'm carious about this medication I'm currently taking to treat Vaginal Vaginosis,the medication is APO-METRONIDAZOLE 250mg I have to take 2 of them twice daily for 7days.I'm 5weeks pregnant right now if not just a few days more then that,This is my first pregnancy and I was just wondering what are my odd's of misscarring this baby by taking this medication..

I notice that the first two day's of taking this medication that I had a dark-brownish red discharged whenever I had gone to the washroom, is that normal? I currently dont have a doctor yet to ask these question's to so that is why Im posting them on here. If you have a very indepth answer please let me know by answering the following question's that are listed above..

You don't have a doctor yet you said. Do you have insurance? If you have Med Mutual or Anthem or mostly any kind you should have a 24 hour nurses line.

ACTUALLY- I just thought of this. I have done this many times. CALL a local pharmacist that is 24 hours. Even if not local do a google search on 24 hour pharmacies or walgreens.com is good. They have 24 hour ones. I live in OH right near one. I can't remember the number but it is on either Detroit or W. 117th street (the door faces 117th but not sure what street is it). Go to walgreens.com and Lakewood, OH and what else I mentioned above.

Pharmacists know a lot!

There's also 216-444-1234 Cleve Clinic Nurse line. Not sure if it's 24 hours or not. I think they'd help even if you don't live nearby.

"Do not use this medication if you are allergic to metronidazole, or if you are in the first trimester of pregnancy. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant during treatment."

You need to talk to your doctor.

i had to take those for a while(i was further along then u) and i made sure i asked the doc if they were ok,which they r,but i hated the taste of them!
