Like how long will it take? whats the best way to go?...I'm thinking of taking 46 most of the way but that road ends somewhere near Wayne, it usually takes me prox. 50 minutes to drive there

You will have to take the side roads with shoulders where motor traffic isn't screaming along at 50mph.  But if you can make it to Fort Lee on side roads, you can bike across the George Washington Bridge (the GWB has a very nice bike/walkway).

I'd say it would probably take about 3-4 hours of riding to get to the GWB from Netcong if you got a nice route scouted out.
