I'm Traveling to Athens Greece from 10/25-11/8?

Anyone out there ever stay in Athens and could you recommend some day trips to take from there. also anyone out there from Athens? I would love to get some recommendations from a local.

If you are interested in Greek history, I recommend the day trip to Delphi.  

If you like island life, I recommend the one-day 3 island trip that goes to Hydra, Poros and Aegina.

However, I am not sure these tours operate during the season that you will be there.

I went there in 1998.  Obviously you need to see the parthenon and the olympic stadium.  But don't miss spending time just walking thru the cobblestone streets and visiting the restaurants and shops.

I went to Athens a few years ago and a nice place I went to was Edessa shortly after. Edessa has the most amazing waterfalls you could ever imagine. Its such a nice place there. Although I can't remember how far the time difference was. But Athens is beautiful nonetheless! Enjoy!

P.S. Be sure to pack warm clothing.

Me too ! I go there all the time I stayed at my grandmothers house in Athens. I'm greek too.

What kind of tip are you looking for? Jobs? Living there? People? Culture? Be specific.

Daily or 2 day trips:

1. Nafplio (nice town) + Epidauros and Mycenae arch. sites. 2 hour drive

2. Delphi arch. site +Hosios Lukas Buzantine monastery. 2 hour drive

3. Aigina island, very close to Piraeus, ferries every hour.Nice town and interesting ancient temple of Afaia.

In Athens, do visit the antional Archaeological museum and the Benaki museum and the Cycladic art museum. I don't generally like to be shut in museums when I travel, but I think you'll enjoy those!
