He has a 2 year spousal visa on his turkish passport for the UK. Does he need a visa to enter switzerland for visiting purposes?

  1. Citizenship determines whether you need a visa or not.  His visa allowing him into another country is irrelevant.  So he must obtain a visa to visit Switzerland.

    Passport required.

    - Passport and/or passport replacing documents must be valid

      on arrival.

    Visa NOT required  for Those, irrespective of nationality,

    holding a Residence Permit issued by United Kingdom (Great

    Britain) for a max. stay of 3 months. Residence Permits are to

    be valid for the period of stay.

        NOTE : The following documents, stamps, labels or

       endorsements issued by the United Kingdom are acceptable,

       provided one of the following statements appear: "Residence

       Permit"," Right of residence", "Right of Abode",

       stamped "leave to enter/remain granted on".

    Additional Information:

    - Visitors must hold all documents required for their next

      destination.

    No vaccinations are required to enter Switzerland and/or

    Liechtenstein from any country.
