I'm US citizen can I have citizenship in canada? ?

  1. www.cic.gc.ca is the Canadian immigration website.  Basically you have to apply for permanent residency, be approved, live in Canada for a few years and then apply for citizenship.  About a million people in the pipeline at present.  Canada admits 250,000 per year.

  4. Unless one of your parents (NOT grandparents) was born in Canada then you can apply for citizenship. If your parents were NOT born in Canada, then no you cannot have citizenship.

    You must apply to emigrate - that takes a few years to be processed. You can apply as a skilled worker - provided you have the right skills and qualifications.  

    Once you arrive in Canada as a permanent resident, then you must live in Canada for 3 years to be eligible for citizenship.
