I'm Visiting Geneva in late August... "Not-to-miss" spots?

Hi, I'll be in Geneva with some of my closest friends from the 26th of August to 1st of September.. This question goes out to people who live in Geneva or who know the city really well... Which places would i be a fool to 'not' visit while there? and any events happening around that time? We are a bunch of 19 year olds so don't go all museum-ish on our *** :) some fun places and some places of historical or medical interest. And don't mention the UN, WHO, Palace des Nations etc. I mean fun places... those organizations.. We will be visiting anyway as part of the congress we are attending... so just the fun spots like amusement parks, lakes, great monuments, old city stuff which isn't usually shown around in tours and maybe even a good theater.. Thanks!

but i do suggest visit zurich, and possibly luzerne.

and you have to go see migros, this amazing grocery store, and the Bahnhofstrasse as well. the Bahnhofstrasse is an AMAZING shopping district with a mcdonalds in it, so maybe you will feel a little bit at home. (jk! :])

    It's located in zurich.

  5. Amusement park:

none of the Swiss amusement parks I would recommend- they are too small and not really fun..... If you are in Germany too go to Europapark Rust- that's where the Swiss go. But Rust is 3.30 h by car from Geneva. http://www.europapark.de/lang-en/c51/def...
