I'll be there throughout July, and I would like to know what French guys my age are wearing these days. Any help would be appreciated.

  1. just as it has been said ,have american look ,no prob ,have a look on the videos of "france-info.com",for day life

  2. French males of your age don't dress all that differently than Americans. There's really no need to be concerned. You'll be in France during prime tourist season and there will be hordes of foreigners wandering the streets. You'll be submerged in that mass.

If you actually did manage to look like you were French that notion would very likely be dispelled the moment you opened your mouth.

Therefore, it makes more sense to think about your comfort and convenience rather than any ultimately futile effort to convince people you are French.

Take a look at this little video of people at a popular left bank venue to see what people are actually wearing if you don't believe what I'm saying: http://www.pariszoomtv.com/video/257/Geo...

  3. Why do you haved to "fit in"?  Certainly, you'll have the common sense not to wear short shorts, socks with sandals, and a vulgar tee-shirt.  Otherwise, be yourself.  Comfortable , fresh and handsome!  (Besides, Levis, the Gap, Converse, etc. are a quasi-status symbol here.  Living here in Paris, I've never seen so many.  I actually question myself, "Hmmmm...can't they be a little more original?" Yikes! )

  4. we are wearing pretty much the same **** as you do guys....

jeans, tee-shirt a lot of casual....that's pretty much it

( young lads wearing a mix of adidas and lacoste are our french holygan, stay away from them...)
