I'm a 30 year old guy just getting into Football, so where can I learn to play it for fun?

Hi. I've never been an athletic or big guy, but I was wondering if, much like other sports, football has leagues to join just to play for fun? I want to learn the game since my interest in sports is just barely beginning. If so, does anyone know of a league in Utah?

I'll probably get slaughtered, but I hope it's not too late to try football in my life. Thanks for any help!

30 is not too old for back yard football but I'd be wary of trying to do anything more...you have too many young hungry fellas out there trying to make a statement...you're likely to get hurt especially if you are new to the game...you don't just go in there and start playing...alot of tricks to the trade go with it...I'd highly recommend fantasy football...it gives you the chance to be an owner/coach and have lots of fun doing it and maybe even picking up some cash...Good luck bro.

Check the internet, local YMCA and City Parks for recreational leagues.  There are "sport and social clubs" in a lot of cities and towns that have rec. flag football leagues.

Search for Semi-Pro football teams on Google in your Area and try out for them, see the competition that is out there. If you are good, you'll get picked up.
