I'm a 58 year old man of independent means. Would I be allowed to emigrate to Australia?

Have holidayed there and loved the country. If I wasn't allowed to emigrate, would I be allowed to stay for say, a year.

I do have relations but not grandparents.

You can come, but you have to have a great amount of cash so you are not a burden on the state.   My cousin came out from UK and she had to have $1000000.00 in assets to qualify, so it can be done.   As for staying for a year, you can always come on holiday if you have the appropriate visas for an extended stay.
