  1. I think they did, as soon as they announced they were geting rid of him, I knew they made a mistake. At the time Kyle Bush was ahead of Jr.

  2. Hendrick's mistake is more obvious as the weeks go by.

  3. If Kyle is so great, why didn't he win races at Hendricks. They had the best cars last year. Nascar is letting JGR get away with cheating this year.

  4. No even without the wins Jr is very marketable He is amking tons of money for HMS thru endorsements

  5. I'm not a HMS fan, and actually I don't like Kyle Busch either. But I think It did them a great advantage getting rid of Kyle, because he couldn't win at HMS and JR couldn't win at DEI. So we have seen that Kyle can win at JGR, now we need to see JR win at HMS.

Which brings up a question, Driver or Material Issues?

  6. HMS is not all about the money because they already have plenty of it. But they are an organization that has class and stands for respect and are family oriented and Kyle was a black sheep and HMS was smart to get rid of him. GO #24,#48,#88,#5

  7. Kyle Busch was no where near his prime when the 2007 season was half-way finished, but, instead of re-signing him for the future, HMS wanted to bring in the money by signing Dale Earnhardt Junior. While Dale Jr. might be a good driver to chalk top-10s consistently with the right ride, he is not going to win a championship at the rate he is going, but HMS can't change the past, so they are stuck. They decided to go with the moneymaker, instead of keeping the future of NASCAR.

  8. Let's look at the stats this year:

Jr - 3rd in points (not bad), but still in that winless streak.

Kyle - 1st in points, 3 wins this season.

HMS definitely made a mistake, but boy, Gibbs sure got a good driver, didn't they?

  9. Well I have to agree. I don't understand why they would keep a dud like Casey Mears and dump Kyle Busch who, even though he wrecks or wrecks other people, wins races and was in the "chase".

  10. Funny how in 3 seasons at HMS, he only had twice as many wins(4) as Casey Mears and Brian Vickers(2) over in the 25 car. And how many wrecked 5 cars where there(ok so that much hasn't changed but still), during Kyle's tenure at HMS? Quite a few, and if these were the old cars, Kyle'd have more wrecks than wins this year. You want to see why Hendrick booted Kyle, check out the Texas and Bristol races from last year.

  11. i'm a fan of DEI and i don't think anybody has made any mistakes. Racing is a tough business.

  12. Yes it was a huge mistake and Rick Hendrick is kicking himself in the butt for it now. Oh well. Gibbs done claimed him and he won't let him go too easily.

Boo Hoo for HMS s******g up.

  13. No they didn't! This year isn't over yet. Kyle's true colors will start to come out soon. He's going to start to get over confident and the old Kyle will reappear and JGR will be REGRETTING for hiring the arrogant bigged nose dumbo earred punk.

  14. To everyone asking why he didn't win more on HMS... he was held back by Rick. His cars weren't as good as his teammates, and he wasn't making enough money for Rick. It's a shame that Casey Mears talent will be hidden until he can escape from HMS. If Mears went to Gibbs he would probably be up there with Kyle.

  15. Rick Hendrick started making mistakes when he let Tim Richmond go.  It's been downhill since then.  The only bright spots were when Ken Schrader was the #1 driver there, and when Terry Labonte was on top.  Other than that, the crook should have stayed in used cars.
