  1. Juiliard Drama section is very hard to get into and they only accept like 18 students. However, you must be a high school graduate. You need recommendation letters, to send a resume and headshot. Then for the audition you need to perform 4 monologues (2 contemporary 2 classical with VERY STRICT guidelines.)

    You need to sing 16 bars of a song and do a movement audition.

    It is also very very expensive to go there.

    My advice::

    Have back up schools. There are some really great schools in the States and around the world. Have options and apply to all of them.

    Take acting lessons. Be versatile - take lessons and workshops in film, shakespeare, and stage. they are all very very different forms of acting.

    Take voice and dance lessons or at least get doing them if you dont take lessons.

    read about your craft. read plays and books about acting. everything you possibly can know - know it.

    get headshots done, think about an agent and get as much experience acting as you possibly can.

    "Drama Club" as your only theatrical experience on your resume is not going to compare to the person who has had 5 years of speech lessons, dance and voice lessons and has a never ending resume!!

    Just devote your life to it.
