I'm a Permanent Resident and i was wondering if i can go to UK to live, if so how can i do it?

I just became a USA Permanent Resident but I'm wondering if i can move to England to live and go to college over there?

  1. if you are a  us resident you can not live in another country,

    you will lose your permanent resident if you live in another country,

    try first to become a citizen an then move.


  2. US Citizens are not allowed to live & go to college (in UK) unless they get a visa to do so. I'd suggest u live in USA & go to college there & build ur life in USA. Forget UK, you can always visit for a trip once you will have ur US Citizenship. OR u can visit even now, if u hold the passport of a country that has a visa waiver program with UK (otherwise u will be needing visa to visit).

  4. You went to all the trouble, time and expense of getting a Green Card, and now you want to do it all again?  o_O

    You can always get a student visa to live and work in Britain, if you can afford tuition and living expenses.  Estimate £20000 per year, or $40000.

    The only other option is getting an employer to sponsor you for a work visa.
