Question:

I'm a UK resident. Do I need a US visa to visit Mexico as a tourist?

I was refused a travelers visa to the US because of a minor road traffic offence from over 3 years ago, and they said I had to go to the US embassy in London to apply for a visitors visa. It seems a lot of hassle for a holiday so I've decided on Mexico instead. All I need to know is whether or not I need a US visa to travel there also? I'm not sure if the two countries are 'tied in' wth their visa waiver scheme.

Thanks!

  1. Of course you don't need an american visa to come to México!

    We are separated countries!

You need that only if you are going to be on transit thru USA; but coming directly here, you don't need that visa.

  2. No...the two countries are not "tied in" in any way on visas.  you may go to mexico and get a tourist card on the plane.

  3. You don't need a US visa to visit Mexico.
