  1. It's not legal for US citizens to travel to Cuba and spend money there without permission of the US Treasury Department.  Going through Mexico is certainly a way that people can use to get around the law, but that doesn't make it any less illegal for US citizens.

Also note that US Customs/Immigration is known for monitoring who gets off flights from Havana at Mexican airports to see whether those same people will then board a flight to the US.

  2. Going through Mexico is a good way to do it.  Your passport isn't stamped in Cuba.

  3. Read the site below for  on U.S. citizens travelling to Cuba.

  4. I just saw it today in the news.  We cannot do so without consequences.  What these are I really don't know.  You have to check with the State Department.  Good Luck!

  5. United States government does not want US citizens to go to Cuba and see what the embargo by US has done to Cuba and its people.

    That simple.

  6. i know that there are many ports of departure to get to cuba from the caribbean, i was told that the cubian officals won't stamp ur passport and you can even go on a day trip if you want.  but, i would not risk it, you had better know or speak to a US citizen personally who has taken that trip b4 you take that plunge!

  7. There are many ways for a U.S. Citizen to visit the island of Cuba. There are links to information including the U.S. State Department link for the travel restrictions at www.MyCubaFest.com

The U.S. State Dept will issue a license for valid travel purposes to Cuba including religious, humanitarian and family.

  8. when theres a will theres a way. Vote for Obama

  9. The only way to do it other than being a member of the press is to have a valid passport that was issued before they started placing chips in them and apply for a newer one, use the older one to go to cuba, because they are going to stamp your passport.  When you return to the US use the newer one because it wont have the Cuban stamp.
